What we do. \M/

Bringing you Ballet HARD core content in the form of shorts, music videos and full length feature films. We partner with musicians in the heavy rock and Metal genres to inspire our stories and bridge a unique gap between the Heaviness of Metal & Rock, with the not so softness of Ballet.

  • Adele Shepherd

FOUNDER (The metal swan queen herself)

Beginning her career as a professional ballerina for most her life, Adele was swept away into film as an actress where she has had a very lucrative career appearing in major shows, movies and shorts, from Star trek Picard to My Chemical Romance short film ‘A Summoning’.

It was her experience on these sets that inspired her to put Ballet themes to film. After a few self produced projects she found her voice and chose to mix her Metal head roots with her passion for pointe.

“The music drives my projects direction first, just like dance”

  • Justin Reich

    DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Primarily at the beck and call of Black Label Society and Zakk Wyldes minions, MSQ productions were able to steal Justin away to begin the creation of Ballet gone Metal.

Reich has worked with multiple head bangers (an impressive lineup) primarily in the southeastern region and continues to be their go to guy for embracing the weird and making it Metal AF.

No wonder we had to have him and are thankful he helped launch our first project to begin this wild ride.

  • Thayne Jongeward

    DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY/PHOTOGRAPHER

Everyone needs a viking on their team. And luckily we did’t have to search much. Thayne has been Adele Shepherds personal photographer, and of course closest friend since the beginning of her career. Documenting her entire lifes work through a lens.

He has worked on almost every one of her self produced projects and knows how to catch the real down to earth version that we need. The contrast to Metal mania is amazing, and being able to pay him in cold brew or craft beer can come in handy as well.

  • Tony Collins

    CAMERA OPERATOR

Don’t let the photo fool you. As much as this man that doesn’t take things too seriously, tracking, pulling focus and getting the right shots is always done with all purposeful intent.

We were lucky enough to get a hold of him through Justin Reich. But good luck otherwise, they’re kind of a dream team.

When hes not running a marathon to keep up with the dance sequences using just a handheld he has a great foodie account to follow. Also pretty Metal.

  • Scott Crain

    WRITER/DIRECTOR

Meeting on the set of ‘Hair of The Dog’ , one of Scott’s works and Adele’s first ever speaking role was the beginning of creative collaboration.

His ability to write darkness into anything light and yet make you laugh while simultaneously overthinking your life choices is a unique gift. These gifts make way for extensive credits in film and more to come. His primary inspiration anything sexy and scary. Which is perfect for anything ballet related.

He is currently writing our first feature ‘The Red Shoes’.. if hes not busy attempting to learn the violin, because..well writers.
